Botswana: Chinese donate tennis equipment to Gaborone school

A delegation from China’s Nantong City Council donated table tennis equipment to Block Five’s Mophane Primary School, Gaborone on Thursday. The donation of five tables, sticks and balls is part of Nantong’s twinning with Gaborone.

A representative of the Chinese Embassy in Botswana, Zhou Zhigang handed over the materials to the primary school. “Table tennis is one of the most important sports in China, and we believe that we can also help the sport to develop here. Botswana is able to produce world-class players, and this equipment will make that possible. “Zhou said.
