Active table tennis
Submitted by Aim Strong Sport
A Leicester sports company has donated more than 360 table tennis sets to the townspeople and is now offering more in a new competition.
Created during the first confinement, Table Tennis Active was designed to help families access sport at home.
They say that table tennis is not only a great sport to play, but also good for mental and physical well-being.
More than 700 rackets and thousands of balls have been distributed by the group, which is supported by Table Tennis England and Ping, the Leicester and District Table Tennis League, the local club, Leicester Electricity and the Ellesmere College.
The local charity PCF donated another 10 table tennis sets (two rackets and five balls), which will be distributed as part of the competition.
Table Tennis Active encourages winners to access their YouTube channel where they can learn table tennis techniques and fun games to play at home.
To participate, email the team here and let them know why you want to receive a kit.
All entries should include an address and contact details, so that they can send kits to the winners.
